Artist Info:
Juxta Position first came into public with „Juxta Position Vol. 1“, the second release on Mistress – including the stand-out track „Mercy“. The man behind Juxta Position is most probably better known for his productions as Marquis Hawkes. Apart from his main project, Juxta Position is the name for his darker, more techno/electro-influenced work. Being around for more than 15 years now he’s not only bringing a wealth of experience to the table, his love for wide variety of music is clearly audible in both projects.
Juxta Position about Mistress 07:
„Juxta Position’s Volume 2 consists of three dancefloor tracks of varying intensity, and one bonus track exclusively on the digital release which is, for want of a better word, more IDM-styled. I'm not really so keen on a lot of techno I hear these days, so I guess this is kind of my own interpretation of what I think techno music should sound like. It was influenced by many different things – including Richard Bartz & DJ Hell's early work for Disko B in the mid-nineties, adventures with the Clavia Nord Modular G1 synthesizer and numerous visits to Berghain which i'm fortunate to have as a local venue to visit from time to time. Special thanks to Matt Eris for his contribution of some modular loops from his Eurorack system, which gave me the starting point of „Pacemaker“.
Terry Venemous is releasing new music every 3 weeks this year. His latest EP is sumptuous art pop with a wry sense of detachment.
