Claustrophobic swing sessions, jacking soul or tripping funk bits – call it whatever you want, but ASOK is continuing with his live-created synth poetry on „Count Zero EP“: Beginning with a sample-drenched piece reflecting the interplay between pressure and ease, he moves on by adding the magic of his much-loved closed hi-hats to the game. Displaying the club’s spectacle of altering lighting with its fading and swelling, Mistress 06 ends with ASOK’s most house track to date – mirroring life’s coexistence of joy and sorrow, of love and frustration.

ASOK on Mistress 06:
„The only plan I ever really have when I sit down making stuff is to not have a plan. I’ve tried the plan thing in the past and it never goes to plan, so no plan is the plan. I try to tie things together with technique and vibe rather than making tracks like a jigsaw puzzle. This EP is a reflection of that. These tracks were made at completely different times, different moods, while each track fits a different part of the night. There is no filler, but also no killer. I'm not into that one massive track and the rest being stuff to flesh out on an EP. Luckily for me nor was Zak and he helped to shape this over time – it took around six months to come together as a twelve but the tracks were made over a span of around 1,5 years most likely, just waiting for the right setting. This is the EP I’m happiest with to date.“
